Superstition Mts. (M-12)
Shape Selection

The Superstition Mountains are famed for their stories of treasure seekers and unexplained events of mystery. Even more mysterious than the stories is the ever changing color palette that appears throughout the day as the varied cliff faces shade shift with the angle of the sun. This photo image dates to the early 1960s, a photo that could not be taken today because of the population explosion in central Arizona. Unspoiled desert flows to the abrupt foothills and rising peaks of the most fabled mountain range in all of the Southwest.
